Meet Melissa.
The Founder & Therapist of Emerge
"I started Emerge Therapy Services to create a practice where clients don't just feel validated — they feel genuinely seen, equipped, and capable of change. I bring calm energy, curiosity, and a deep commitment to helping you understand the why behind your experience so you can build something new from that clarity.
I specialize in trauma, OCD, and relational challenges, using approaches like EMDR, IFS, and I-CBT alongside the kind of honest, connected therapeutic relationship that makes the deeper work possible."
OUR SPECIALITIES
What we help you move through.
OCD
OCD isn't just about order or cleanliness — it's relentless doubt that hijacks your sense of reality. We use Inference-Based CBT to target the reasoning behind obsessive thinking, not just the symptoms on the surface.
Trauma
Difficult experiences don't always stay in the past — they show up in how you react, relate, and feel in your body today. EMDR helps your brain finish processing what it couldn't at the time, so the past loses its grip on the present.
Attachment Concerns
The way we learned to connect early on shapes every relationship we have as adults. We help you understand those patterns, build more secure ways of relating, and stop repeating cycles that no longer serve you.
Anxiety Disorders
Anxiety is a signal that something needs attention. We help you understand what's driving it, regulate your nervous system, and build a more grounded relationship with your own thoughts and feelings.
The goal is not just support, but meaningful change. We want you to feel more grounded, confident, and capable in your thoughts, emotions, and relationships.
Our approach to your healing.
In this work, we focus on understanding patterns, exploring relationships, and building skills that support you in feeling more grounded and confident. This includes learning about boundaries, communication, and how to care for your nervous system during stressful or overwhelming moments.
